A few words from our chair of judges, Susan Jennings, Partner and Head of Corporate at Furley Page.
The Medway Business Awards seeks to highlight and celebrate businesses who are innovative, committed to their workforce and its development, strive to provide an excellent product and/or service and make a difference in their community and sector.
It was another tough year for the judges given the calibre of the finalists for 2024. This year we met businesses both large and small from different sectors – but one thing was true of all 12 finalists – they are all striving to be the best at what they do. From specialist manufacturing and installation to people’s fitness and wellbeing; from those helping others to gain employment to those offering working environments with a difference; from construction and maintenance to essential services and security; from a clever use of technology to environmentally conscious goods and services.
To give ourselves an even tougher challenge this year, we also asked businesses to put forward a Rising Star or Unsung Hero and we were so impressed to see the impact one individual within an organisation can make. Thank you to all the finalists and individuals for taking the time to meet us. This process reminds me that Medway has some very talented people and hidden gems that need to be shouted about.
